Playlists

Playlists are a way to group related videos together. They can help you find specific content faster and organize your videos in a way that makes sense for your viewing habits. We have three type of playlists.

• Smart playlists: These are system generated playlists, and can not be altered.
• Custom playlists: These playlists are created by you, and you can add or remove videos from them.
• Top tags playlists: These playlists are created based on the top-rated videos and are automatically updated.

Creating a playlist

There are multiple ways to create a playlist:

Option 1

1. Goto settings ( Cmd+,) and then navigate to playlists tab.
2. Locate the "Add new playlist" button on the bottom of the section.
3. Click to open a modal. And then type the playlist name and hit "Add playlist" button.
4. Now, you will see your playlist in the list.

Option 2

1. Select any video in all collection(Cmd+Shift+C) window.
2. On the video details panel, click on manage playlist.
3. Now, you can add a new playlist and the video will be part of that playlist.

Option 3

1. Go to playlists dashboard view
2. On the playlists view on left hand side bar, you can see a + icon above your custom playlists.
3. Click on that add playlist button and it will open up a modal.
4. Now, you can add a new playlist similar to in option 1.

Deleting a playlist

To delete a playlist, follow these steps:

1. Goto settings (Cmd+,) and then navigate to playlists tab.
2. Select the playlist you want to delete.
3. Hover on the playlist item and click on the "Delete" button on the right side of playlist item.
4. Confirm the deletion by clicking on the "Delete" button in the confirmation modal.

Adding a video to playlist

1. Select any video in all collection(Cmd+Shift+C) window.
2. Select the video from the collection.
3. On the video details panel, click on manage playlist or press (Cmd+P)
4. Now, you can add a new playlist by
   1. Clicking on the playlist names that are last used.
   2. Or type on the in putbox, select matching playlists
   3. If you entered a name which is unique, you can create a new playlist and let the video be part of that playlist.
   Or click one from the last used playlists(this option appears if you have created/ added any playlist previously) and the video will be part of that playlist.

Removing videos from playlist

If you are in all collection view:

1. Select any video in all collection(Cmd+Shift+C) window.
2. On the video details panel, click on manage playlist.
3. Now, you can remove the video from the playlist by selecting the playlists right below the video name.
4. When you click on the playlist name, there would a cross icon, click on that to remove the video from that playlist.

If you are in playlist view:

1. Go to the desired playlist.
2. Locate the video file in the playlist.
3. Right click and you will see a "Remove from playlist" context menu.
4. Click on "Remove from playlist" to remove the video from the playlist.

Change the order of the videos in a playlist

You can change the order of the videos in a playlist by dragging and dropping the videos. But this is limited to custom created playlists.
